Affirming Therapy for LGBTQIA+ Youth
Online & in person in new york
Life sucks when you feel like you have to hide who you are.
Maybe you just came out to your family, who struggled to understand, accept and support you. Or maybe the bullying at school goes on and on for being different? You may be feeling like you have little power over your life, feeling anxious, depressed and worthless. Or perhaps you’re experiencing shame about your identity and isolating from everyone.
Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every aspect of your life:
Experiencing homophobia, transphobia, or gender-role stereotyping
Noticing your school performance is deteriorating
Feeling like you have to maintain two separate identities
Struggling to make fulfilling relationships
You are engaging in self-harm or substance use
Your are having suicidal thoughts
Your identity matters and should be celebrated!
My approach to working with LGBTQIA+ YOUTH
LGBTQIA+ therapy for youth offers the space, support, and connection you need to find happiness in yourself, your relationships, and your life.

We will talk about your thoughts and feelings, your values and how you can build your life honoring what matters to you. My main goal each session is to create together with you a safe, nonjudgmental place where you can feel seen, heard, understood and empowered.
As a dedicated ally, I am full-time committed to diversity, inclusion and respect. I want to hear your story, I am here to listen (if you’d like to share it with me), and celebrate your beauty and uniqueness.

As a parent of a LGBTQIA+ youth, you might feel worried, scared and unprepared to navigate your child’s unique challenges. You love them more than anything and want them to have the best life, yet you feel confused and powerless knowing what support to provide. You are not alone! This is a safe and non-judgmental space to voice your fears and expectations, have open conversations about gender and sexuality, and explore the source of your beliefs.
